Major Line Moves are audio and visual alerts that are triggered by user-defined criteria to alert users when major line changes occur. These user-defined parameters are fully customizable, allowing users to define what a major line move means to them, and how they would like to be alerted. Major Line Moves occur when a large number of bets or large sums of money are placed on a game in a short period of time. Major Line Moves can be used to indicate when a professional bettor or group has made a play on that game.
Configuration
To configure Major Line Moves, go to Tools -> Major Line Moves.
Step 1
Configure the sportsbooks in which you would like your Major Line Move alerts to be comprised of. Select the sportsbooks from the "Available Sportsbooks" column and move them to the "Selected Sportsbooks" column as desired.
Step 2
Select the periods in which you would like the Major Line Moves to alert on. Game is selected by default.
Step 3
Define the parameters of the condition in which Major Line Move alerts are triggered.
- Select the number of sportsbooks from the drop-down list in which you want your alerts to be comprised of (default 3).
- Select the time threshold in which the sportsbooks line changes need to be within for it to be considered a Major Line Move (default 30 seconds).
- Select the time in minutes in which you would not like to be alerted on for the same game (default 5 minutes).
- Check "Show Popup" if you would like a visual Major Line Move alert.
- Check "Play Sound" if you would like an audio Major Line Move alert.
Step 4
Select the type of moves you would like to be alerted on, and select the value of the points/cents from the drop-down list for each move type.
Step 5
Click the "Apply" button to save your current settings and continue to make changes. Click the "Save" button to save your settings and exit.
Individual Sport Settings
Individual Sport Settings within the "Major Line Moves" setup window can be used to customize the parameters that trigger a Major Line Move alert, such that users can define different Major Line Move triggers from one Sport/League to another. To enable this feature, select a sport or league under the Individual Sport Settings drop down menu. When prompted if you would like to enable Individual Settings for the selected sport, click "Yes". Then setup your Major Line Move alert triggers the way you want them for this particular sport. Click the "Apply" button to save your current settings and continue to make changes. Click the "Save" button to save your settings and exit. Note that Individual Sport Settings take precedence over the Universal Settings. By default, Individual Sport Settings are enabled for the miscellaneous sports (Soccer, Fighting, Gold, Tennish, Auto, Other) with both sound and pop-up being disabled for these misc sports.
Enable/Disable All Major Line Moves
In the Major Line Moves Setup window, there is a button on the bottom that allows users to easily Disable/Enable All Major Line Moves. Users can use this button to disable all Major Line Moves quickly even if they have Major Line Moves configured for Individual Sport Settings. Major Line Moves are enabled by default.
